To consider on buying Water Pump
1. Search for what type of water pump you really need.
2. Don't just depend on specs of the product. Give margin.
(take into consider also that Max suction and Max Head are measured by the manufacturer in their perfect testing facility- no leaks etc.)
 
Basic Trouble Shooting. 
Check fan if working (if not you can just simply use stick and just move fan a little - stack up, brand new, never been use) EASY FIX
NO/Weak SUCTION:
Check for leak 
Priming tube is really necessary (putting water on the tubes/pipes before suctioning)
CHECK VALVE. this is common, backflow or one of the pipe line is open (octopus or water pump and hand pump on the same line.)
Worst of all is the buying the wrong type of pump and/or not enough HP vs what is needed to save cash. Be responsible enough and don't blame it to seller. Research and Decisions in buying is a responsibility of us consumer.
